Applications for Peer Training Facilitators and Recognized Peer Support Specialists

Peer Support Specialists are an important part of the Behavioral Health System of Care. The Extra Mile invites those interested in becoming either a Recognized Peer Support Specialist (RPSS) or a RPSS Training Facilitator to apply for its upcoming trainings.

Are you interested in becoming a Peer Support Specialist?  

Are you....

  • Someone with lived experience?
  • Someone with a High School diploma or GED?
  • At least 18 years of age?
  • Someone with at least 12 months in continuous demonstrated recovery?

If so, complete the Peer Support Specialist training application to get started.  

Already trained and want to become a training facilitator?

If so, you must meet the qualifications below to apply:

  • Be current with your continuing education units.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be ready to change lives.

The last day to submit your application is August 12, 2022!
