CLINICIANS, STAFF RECOGNIZED FOR COMMITMENT TO QUALITY OF CARE

Baton Rouge, La. – The Clinic of Welsh in Welsh, La., has been named the recipient of the 2018 Physician Summit Award from Louisiana Healthcare Connections for demonstrating a commitment to high quality, accessible care.

The Physician Summit Award is given annually to the healthcare provider that achieves the highest scores in key Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) quality measures across the health plan’s network.

The Clinic of Welsh, under the leadership of Yvonne Krielow, DNP, FNP-BC, and Amanda Lacomb, MD, scored the highest among Louisiana Healthcare Connections’ 21,000+ provider network in measures like Adolescent Well Care Visits, Adults Access to Preventive/Ambulatory Health Services, Comprehensive Diabetes Care, Cervical Cancer Screening, and Chlamydia Screening in Women.
