Free CME/CE Opportunity: HealthHIV HIV Prevention Certification Program

The HealthHIV HIV Prevention Certified Provider™ Certification Program (HIVPCP) is a free CME/CE multi-module educational certification program that will prepare providers to utilize the most individualized and up-to-date methods to prevent HIV infection. The online program is self-paced and composed of eight modules in HIV prevention detailing the pertinent clinical and practice information that clinicians need to effectively employ HIV prevention interventions.
Registration
The program is free, but participants must enroll via HealthHIV's website.
Continuing Education
All modules are accredited and participants can earn up to 8.0 contact hours (CME, MOC, NCPD, CPE) for completion of the certification.
- Target Audience: This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of infectious disease specialists, internists, primary care physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinicians involved in the care of patients at risk of acquiring or transmitting HIV.

Continuing Nursing Education: Successful completion of this nursing continuing professional development activity will be awarded 1.0 contact hour per module.
Continuing Pharmacy Education: Medical Learning Institute, Inc. designates this continuing education activity for 1.0 contact hour (0.1 CEU) per module of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of the self-paced program, providers will earn a HIVPCP certificate. The HIVPCP certification demonstrates competency in interdisciplinary, multi-level strategies for HIV prevention.
Participants who complete the certification program will have an understanding of the foundation of HIV epidemiology and policy in the United States, the provider’s role in identifying HIV risk and new cases, high impact strategies to prevent HIV through status-neutral-navigation, clinical guidelines to implement PrEP, and a framework of cultural humility that improves clients’ access to and retention in care.
