Free Health, Dental & Vision Clinics Offer Help for Those in Need

As part of its ongoing commitment to improve the health of Louisiana residents, Louisiana Healthcare Connections, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Love Heals Free Clinics throughout the state. After serving nearly 3,000 patients in the Baton Rouge area over the last four years, the clinic is now expanding to cities across the state, with the help of the Southern University Increasing Clinicians of Diversity Division. These “Love Heals The Boot" clinics will be held in Baton Rouge, Opelousas, Alexandria, and Shreveport.

The clinics will be providing FREE medical, dental, and vision services to Louisiana residents, including free eye exams and prescription glasses, free dental cleanings, fillings, and extractions, free medical exams, treatment of chronic illnesses, and more, along with free prescription medication. The clinics will be held in June, from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. (or until capacity) at the following locations.

  • Baton Rouge Free Clinic: June 15th – F.G. Clark Activity Center, Harding Blvd.
  • Opelousas Free Clinic: June 17th – Opelousas Civic Center, 1638 Creswell Ln. Ext., Ste. 2
  • Alexandria Free Clinic: June 20th – Peabody High School, 2727 Jones Ave.
  • Shreveport Free Clinic: June 22nd  – Shreveport Convention Center, 400 Caddo St.

There is no appointment necessary. The clinic is “first come, first served,” and no ID or insurance is required.
