Important Information for Medical Transportation Providers About MediTrans

MediTrans to manage Medicaid NEMT and NEAT services for Louisiana Healthcare Connections members beginning May 1, 2025

Starting May 1, Louisiana Healthcare Connections will contract with MediTrans to broker non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and non-emergency ambulance transportation (NEAT) for our Medicaid* members in all 64 parishes. Our medical transportation providers play a critical role in helping our Medicaid members access the health care they need and deserve. Our partnership with MediTrans brings new opportunities for driver success and member service. 

Transportation providers must be contracted with MediTrans to continue serving Louisiana Healthcare Connections members after April 30.

  • Transportation providers already contracted with MediTrans do not need to take any additional steps.
  • Transportation providers not currently contracted with MediTrans can visit their website to learn more about joining their network. Interested providers should complete the online Letter of Intent Questionnaire form to begin the application process.

*Please note: Louisiana Healthcare Connections’ contract with MTM for Medicaid NEMT and NEAT services will end April 30, 2025. Wellcare will continue to contract with MTM for Medicare NEMT.
