You probably know that hurricane season is June 1 through November 30. But, here in Louisiana, flash floods, tornadoes and other severe weather events can happen year-round. If you don’t already have a game plan for yourself and your practice, it’s time to make one!

    Is your emergency kit is packed and ready to take anywhere?

Personal emergency kits should include basic supplies, like water, food, flashlights, clothing and personal items. Your should also plan how you will protect important patient files and electronic equipment.

    Do your check for weather alerts daily?

Whether you get your weather news from TV, the radio or your phone, be sure you know when bad weather is coming. Know the difference between a hurricane watch and a hurricane warning.
