LDH Releases COVID Defense Application

Louisiana Healthcare Connections would like to share that the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) recently launched Louisiana’s COVID exposure notification application, COVID Defense. This is an optional phone app that helps track COVID-19 exposure. This mobile application is designed to help slow the spread by notifying Louisianans if they are at risk of exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. It is completely anonymous and does not use an individual’s location information. Users must opt in to use the tool and my opt out at any time. No personal information is required to use the app.

The COVID Defense app works easily in three steps:

  1. Download the app
  2. Opt in annonymously
  3. Get notified if expsosed
